1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Since graduation, I have stayed here in Grand Rapids where I work as a business consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Navigating the complex world of healthcare is an ever-changing, dynamic experience and I'm fortunate to be in West Michigan where we have so much innovation around critical systemic problems. In 2020 I completed my MBA and hope to continue lifelong learning.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
There are too many to count. Some of my favorite memories are of how the campus community came together. The GVSU Lip-Dub video, the "Wrecking Ball" era and the Snowpocalypse of 2011 are some of my favorites.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
In 2012, I was fortunate to be part of the Grand Rapids Chamber Emerging Leaders program. A leadership development curriculum for young professionals. One of the speakers was the late Deb Baily. She said of her career, "my career path has never been a one-time decision. Throughout my career and my experiences, my path has always been a process of elimination whereby I've taken bits and pieces from the experiences I like and dislike. Forever changing".

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Formative. Community-focused. Anchored

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
"To whom much is given, much will be required." A lot has been said about privilege and equality over the past year. But, what hasn't been talked about is the responsibility of privilege and the obligation of those who have. I want to create a space where relationships can thrive and people can advance in their careers, their ambitions, and their relationships.
