Since graduating from GVSU, I have spent 20 years working in local child welfare services. I have since moved on to the Health Department where I supervise two local public health programs.

I spent the majority of my time at GVSU serving as a Multicultural Assistant and being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. A specific memory was traveling to Alabama in 2001 for the Football National Championship with my good friend Yolan
I have so many great memories of my time at GVSU, but probably the best one was meeting Adam Sandler.
My best GVSU memories are working at TOP (telephone outreach program) in the basement of the alumni house! I made the greatest group of friends while calling alumni to share updates and news on the university, and I still keep in touch with many of them.
I love going and supporting our Lakers no matter what sport they are playing. The energy from football games and the Laker pride will always stick with me!
We want to help you get wherever you want to go, whether you want to acquire new skills, a new position, or advance in an entirely new career. Career support is just one aspect of GVSU's Laker Lifetime Learning (L3) commitment to you.
