Planning the Center for Health and Well-Being's inaugural 1 in 5K to support survivors of violence at GVSU.
I absolutely loved being a campus tour guide. Nothing beats seeing moms, dads, and/or other family members go from "anxious and worried to send their child off to school" to "comfortable and excited."
My favorite Grand Valley memory was when I proposed to my wife, Valerie, with the Laker Marching Band playing behind us. We met during our freshman year in the LMB and have now been together for almost 9 years.
Since graduating from GVSU, I have spent 20 years working in local child welfare services. I have since moved on to the Health Department where I supervise two local public health programs.
