The leadership and business fundamentals program is designed for
those who have completed or are in their last semester of completing
an applied associate degree (A.A.S.) and are looking to complete a
bachelor's degree.
Overview
The program provides fundamental knowledge in business strategy,
finance, marketing, human resources, and leadership principles,
emphasizing real-world application. Graduates are equipped with the
essential skills for business success and effective team leadership.
You will choose from courses in data visualization, digital design,
and applied statistics, along with opportunities to complete Business
Fundamentals and Leadership certificates. The curriculum integrates
applied science practicums, senior seminars, and global professional
perspectives, developing skills in financial analysis, budgeting,
marketing, team building, organizational theory, and ethics, preparing
you for diverse professional roles.
The program builds on the value of your A.A.S. degree, allowing you
to develop skills and complete your bachelor's degree while earning
college credit for work and life experience. It includes valuable
studies in leadership and business fundamentals and helps you develop
critical thinking, ethical reasoning, problem-solving, and

To be admitted, students need to meet Grand Valley State University’s
minimum requirements for transfer student admissions and have
completed or be in their last semester of an associate of applied
science degree, an associate of general studies, an associate of
applied arts and science degree, an associate in business degree, or
similar technical applied degrees.
