Entrepreneurship is the process of creating, launching, and managing a new business venture to achieve profit and growth.
Grand Valley's Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Certificate is designed for non-business majors, such as graphic designers, writers, musicians, and health care providers. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to start or run a new business.
The coursework for the Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship certificate requires 9 credits. Students must complete three courses that cover:
This certificate allows students to apply their entrepreneurial skills to various situations, including non-profit organizations, corporate new product or business development, or their own businesses. It includes mentoring and support from experienced faculty and local entrepreneurial organizations, enhancing students' degrees and resumes, and making them more competitive in the job market. Plus, the certificate can be completed in one year or less and is offered face-to-face at Grand Valley's City Campus.
