Biography

Professor Emerita Victoria Veenstra is a photographic artist whose work employs a variety of cameras to capture the daily vignettes of life, from the morning ritual of coffee to the landscapes encountered during the daily commute. Her body of work includes Roadsides, a series of color pinhole photographs exploring the boundary between the road and the inhabited landscape. Her photography has been exhibited extensively throughout the United States and internationally.

During her distinguished academic career, Professor Veenstra taught photography at all levels at Grand Valley State University and previously at the University of Michigan, the Center for Creative Studies, and the University of Toledo.
