Celebration of 2026 Graduates - Graduating Student Registration

GVSU is excited to celebrate our graduates! Don’t forget to apply to graduate and register to attend commencement at the GVSU Commencement Website. In addition, several on-campus groups will host celebrations designed to honor graduating students in the spirit and tradition of various cultures. Please note that the registration deadline varies for each celebration. Details regarding graduation acknowledgments and celebrations are determined by the various graduation planning teams. You'll receive specific communication from those planning teams once you have registered. To be recognized at these events, students must be eligible to graduate in winter 2026, summer 2026, or fall 2026.

Latinx Graduation Celebration - Friday, May 1 at 10am. Deadline April 24, 2026 (contact Laker Unidos at [email protected] after deadline for information)
Lavender Graduation (celebrating LGBTQIA+ graduates) - Wednesday, April 15 from 7-9pm. Deadline April 10, 2026 (contact the Rainbow Resource Center at [email protected] after deadline for information)
Waddle in Honor (celebrating Military and Veteran graduates) - Thursday, April 30 from 6-8pm. Deadline April 20, 2026 (contact Shane Scherer at [email protected] after deadline for information)
Native Graduation Celebration - Friday, May 1 from 3-5pm. Deadline April 24, 2026 (contact Ayebah Wilson at [email protected] after deadline for information)
