Published October 17, 2025

Seidman College of Business hosted Round 2 of the Ottawa Gauntlet on Wednesday, October 15, welcoming Ottawa Hills High School students to the L. William Seidman Center for a day of interactive learning and competition.

The Ottawa Gauntlet is a multi-round program designed to help students develop essential professional skills, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. During the event, students rotated through a series of stations that challenged them to apply these skills in real-time scenarios, from pitching ideas and resolving conflict to collaborative problem-solving and personal development exercises.

Seidman faculty, staff, and student volunteers served as team leads and station facilitators, providing guidance, feedback, and encouragement throughout the day. Their involvement helped create a supportive environment while giving students meaningful exposure to a collegiate business setting.

Students who advanced through the competition earned scholarships and the opportunity to continue in the Gauntlet’s final round. Hosting the Ottawa Gauntlet reflects Seidman College of Business’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and expanding access to educational and professional opportunities for local students.
