The Economics Student Organization will be welcoming Max Friar, CEO and Founder of Calder Capital, at its final meeting of the year on Monday, April 7.Students interested in economics, finance, entrepreneurship, accounting, investment banking, private equity, or business leadership are especially encouraged to attend. This will also be a great event for students who are still exploring career paths and want more exposure to the business world.Max Friar works in mergers and acquisitions, often called M&A, which is the field focused on buying, selling, and combining businesses. For students who are unfamiliar with it, M&A brings together finance, strategy, valuation, negotiation, and business growth, making it a valuable area to learn about even for those outside of finance.As the CEO and Founder of Calder Capital, Max Friar will be able to offer students insight not only into M&A itself, but also into entrepreneurship, leadership, and what it takes to build and grow a successful firm.
