Biography

Esteban Hernandez earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and joined Grand Valley State University in 2025. He teaches Managerial Finance and Ethics in Finance, and his research examines behavioral corporate finance, with a focus on how executives’ and directors’ formative experiences shape decision-making. His work has been presented at leading conferences, including the Financial Management Association, the Southern Finance Association, and the World Finance Conference.
