Biography
Dr. Zhao earned his Ph.D. in Management Science (Concentration: Information Systems) from the Naveen Jindal School of Management, The University of Texas at Dallas. His current research areas include Fintech and Blockchain, operations management, data and business analytics using AI, and emerging technologies in buisness. Dr. Zhao uses econometric models along with machine learning techniques to analyze on-chain data to gain insights into decentralized finance platforms on Ethereum blockchain. He also studies other emerging technologies such as live streaming sales. His research has been accepted or invited for presentation in Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Annual Conference, Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) Annual Conference, Decision Sciences Institute Annual Conference, Conference on Information Systems and Technology, among others.
