Biography
Yu (Joy) Rong is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Seidman College of Business. She earned her Ph.D. in Management (Business Administration) with a specialization in Organizational Behavior from the University of Nevada, Reno, and an MBA from Eastern Oregon University. Her industry experiences including working as an accountant, assistant manager, an international ballroom dancer and judge. Rong employs quantitative methods to investigate the cognitive and motivational underpinnings of individuals’ decisions that affect their organizations and environments, with the goal of generating actionable managerial insights. Her research focuses on leadership (with an emphasis on servant leadership), moral judgment, and personality traits such as the dark triad. Her work has been published in PLOS ONE, the Journal of Leadership, Accountability and Ethics, Sustainability, and the Journal of Organizational Psychology.
