Biography
Dr. Hazarika earned her Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D. degree, Dr. Hazarika finished her MBA in Operations from Symbiosis International University, India. She worked for a Fortune Global 500 company as a Process Engineer and in a start-up as Business Development Executive. Her current research interest is in supply chain management with an emphasis on social sustainability - safety and technology’s role in social sustainability within supply chains, responsible purchasing decisions, understanding buyer-supplier relationships and the role of top management in ethical decision-making processes. Dr. Hazarika uses econometric analysis, qualitative approaches, and behavioral experiments that engage different stakeholders in the research process to gain managerial insights in making important supply chain decisions.
