Biography
Hyeonjoon David Park earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He joined Grand Valley State University in 2024, where he teaches both introductory and advanced managerial finance. His primary research areas include empirical corporate finance, venture capital, innovation, entrepreneurship, and climate risk. His academic contributions have been recognized through the acceptance of his research papers at prestigious conferences, including the Financial Management Association, the Eastern Finance Association, and the Swedish House of Finance & Berkeley Haas Conference on Climate Finance, as well as through awards such as the Best Paper Award in Investments at the Southwestern Finance Association and the Best Student Paper Award at the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada.
