Advanced Manufacturing Camp will be held July 13-16, 2026

Information and How to Register:

In collaboration with the Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering, and the Women in Manufacturing Association, the Regional Math and Science Center will host a four-day hands-on immersive Advanced Manufacturing Camp for students entering 6 and 7th grade in the fall of 2026. Campers participated in large group activities that included team-building and design thinking processes - followed by breakout sessions facilitated by GVSU staff, students, and industry professionals from the West Michigan area. Sessions included hands-on activities such as Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), 3-D Printing, Automation, Design Thinking, and Lean Manufacturing.

Career Exploration activities included off-site industry tours to local manufacturing businesses.

The Regional Math & Science Center is hosting 50 middle school students in a four-day hands-on immersive Advanced Manufacturing Camp for students entering 6th and 7th grades. Campers participated in large group activities that included team-building and design thinking processes, followed by breakout sessions facilitated by GVSU staff, students, and industry professionals from the West Michigan area. Sessions included hands-on activities such as Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), 3-D Printing, Automation, Design Thinking, and Lean Manufacturing, and will finish the week with a career panel discussion and career fair!
