Faculty Travel Support Grant
The Faculty Travel Support Grant (up to $600) is designed to complement existing professional development funds and to be inclusive of the full range of scholarly activity across disciplines, such as traveling to present research, access archives and special collections, conduct fieldwork, or meet with collaborators. The travel must be related to the applicant's original research or creative effort.

GVSU’s Laker Match Fund
GVSU’s Laker Match Fund (LMF) is designed to assist in the provision of matching funds when a cash match is required as a condition of eligibility to apply for funding for externally-sponsored projects.
Momentum Fund
The Momentum Fund (up to $2,000) is intended to alleviate small friction from active, ongoing scholarship. It is a fast and low-barrier funding to keep momentum for things like: paying for copyediting or indexing, buying a software license, covering publication fees, sending a sample to a lab, or acquiring a key resource.

Collaborative Research and Creative Activity Initiative
The Collaborative Grant (up to $10,000) is designed to foster new collaborative research and creative activities between faculty members from different disciplines.

Laker Innovation Commercialization Fund
Administered by the Technology Commercialization Office, the Laker Innovation Commercialization Fund (LICF) was established to enhance opportunity to commercialize innovations discovered at Grand Valley State University. The program is intended to provide financial support that cannot typically be obtained from other traditional sources of funding.
LGBTQ+ FSA Grant Opportunity
Administered by the LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association, this grant program promotes LGBTQ+ related scholarship that fosters an inclusive community for LGBTQ+ faculty and staff at GVSU. All faculty and staff are eligible to apply.
Open Access Publishing Support
Administered by University Libraries, this fund aids the ability of researchers to publish in established open access peer-reviewed journals and peer-reviewed journals that have an open access option.
Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)
OSP serves as the University's central office that supports faculty and staff in the identification, development, submission, and administration of externally sponsored agreements for scholarly research and creative activity.
