Budgeting a Sponsored Project? Make Sure to Use the Current GVSU F&A (Facilities & Administrative Cost—a.k.a. Indirect-Cost) Rate!
For all sponsored-projects with an award date of July 1, 2016 or later, GVSU PIs and PDs must use the current GVSU rate of 29% of Modified Total Direct Costs. The full agreement with the U.S. HHS is available here. The GVSU policy on F&A cost recovery is published in the Grand Valley Manual. Please contact your Grants & Contracts Specialist with any questions you may have.

Wondering how course buyouts work? Having trouble coming up with match? Not sure you can make a deadline? See the FAQ page here simple answers to these and other questions.
Remember, grant awards are awarded to the University as opposed to an individual. Be sure that before you submit or sign anything you check with OSP that it's OK to do so. The Authorized Representative at GVSU is the only person allowed to submit or sign proposals or awards!
