Fall 2023

Date: Wednesday, December 6

Do you love philosophy, but wonder why there aren’t more people who look like you in your philosophy classes? This meeting will seek to create a supportive community for minorities in philosophy, including women, gender minorities, BIPOC, and other folks whose perspectives are often unheard in philosophy classes and texts. Our group is modeled on the Minorities and Philosophy organization.

This group is open to anyone interested in philosophy, including but not limited to Philosophy majors and minors. Our first meeting will focus on determining the aims of the group as a collective. Join us Wednesday, October 11 from 6-7pm in the Hoitenga Room, MAK B3-216. If you are interested in the group but can’t attend the meeting, or if you have any questions, please email Professor LaGuardia-LoBianco ([email protected]).
