The most helpful aspects of my undergraduate education in mathematics were: The ability to take a variety of mathematics courses and participate in several undergraduate research projects.
The advice I’d offer to current undergraduate students in mathematics: Enjoy your time at GVSU! Take advantage of all the opportunities. Take a wide variety of courses, participate in a research project, consider an internship or REU program. Pursue your passions.
In a typical day in my work, I: teach 11-12 credits per semester, work with students on projects, and participate in a variety of professional development and service activities.
