Laker students, alumni, faculty & staff share their Global GVSU Story.
My first study abroad experience was with the Junior Year in Munich program through Wayne State University, and it fundamentally changed who I am. Because of that experience I was able to work in the PIC as a peer adviser, which only further confirmed my desire to work in the field of international education. I've also spent a semester in India as well as two years in South Korea as a public middle school English teacher. As of this writing I'll be continuing my studies in Fulda, Germany, where I'll pursue a two-year Master's degree in intercultural communication. I'll always be grateful for that initial trip to Germany and my time as a peer adviser for assisting me in finding a purpose I truly care about. Happy travels!
