Ways to Give to GVSU English

Your gift to the Grand Valley State University English Department is an investment in the future of our students, West Michigan, and our state. Thanks largely to your generosity in 2017, our English Department offered $12,000 in scholarships  to deserving English majors.  Our scholarships and endowments are described below.  Please consider contributing to one or more to support academic excellence at Grand Valley.

• The English Faculty Scholarship for New Majors is awarded to two English majors annually, each scholarship in the sum of $750. 
• The Gilbert R. and Patricia K. Davis Endowed Merit Scholarship is a tuition scholarship for part- or full-time junior and senior English majors. (Amount varies on foundation earnings: estimated scholarship amount $1500.) 
• The Robert L. Chamberlain Scholarship is a tuition scholarship for junior English majors demonstrating excellence in writing. (Amount varies on foundation earnings: estimated scholarship amount $1000)
