On October 23, 2026, the GVSU Board of Trustees acted on several items related to GVSU-authorized charter public schools.

First, the Board approved the authorization of Future LTU High School, a new charter public school in Southfield scheduled to open in the fall of 2027

Next, the Board approved the reauthorization of the following two schools with the recommended lengths of their new charter contracts:

• Endeavor Charter Academy (7 years)
• Taylor Preparatory High School (7 years)

The Board also approved the appointments of 18 new charter school board members. GVSU is excited to welcome the following individuals as new board members for GVSU-authorized charter schools:
