Each year the GVSU DEISS invites board members from GVSU charter schools to attend a handful of exclusive events for networking and additional learning. All events are optional but highly encouraged as the best way to connect with fellow board members from other GVSU charters.
Board Presidents Leadership Retreat
Each year, the GVSU DEISS invites board presidents of GVSU-authorized charter schools to join fellow board leaders for a half-day retreat focused on strategy and governance development.

School Celebration + Social
Celebrate the end of the school year with board members, school leaders, teachers, and other GVSU charter school stakeholders at the annual School Celebration + Social! The event is typically held twice - once in Detroit and once in Grand Rapids.
