GVSU SCIS hosts computing conference

The Midwest Collegiate Computing Conference (MWC3) will be held this year on March 24th, 2018, at the Eberhard Conference Center in downtown Grand Rapids, MI.  The conference is a joint venture between area businesses and educators passionate about encouraging Information Technology/Information Systems skills at the collegiate level. The conference goal is to provide students a competitive environment in which to both test their skills and network with local business leaders/employers.

The theme this year is “Technology: Driving the Future” with speakers emphasizing the need for technology and innovative solutions in today’s marketplace. Competitions cover a wide range of knowledge and skills including infrastructure, application development, and systems/database. The Keynote speaker is Ronald Franz, CIO, Global SAP Architecture & Services, General Motors who will be speaking at the Saturday night Awards Banquet.
