Student Assistant
Student Assistants serve as the front line within the Career Center. They provide exceptional customer service when greeting students, faculty/staff, employers and community members who utilize the office; whether in person or over the phone. In addition, they review incoming job and internship postings within Handshake as well as project work for activities and events happening within the office.
Career Connector
Career Connectors support the Career Center through three main functions: managing the CareerLab, promoting the Career Center services and events through on-campus community awareness activities, and by presenting to student group on career-related topics. The CareerLab is a drop in and work site for students that is open 5 days a week during the school year.
Marketing and Social Media Intern, Writing and Communications Intern
The marketing interns will work alongside the Career Center Marketing Committee to support the marketing and communication needs of the Career Center. These activities include managing all social media platforms; creating promotional materials such as flyers, videos, and posters; and creating innovative and comprehensive marketing ideas.
Graduate Intern
The Career Center offers graduate students an opportunity to work on projects specific to their area of interests. Past projects include coordinating the Etiquette Dinner, advising students in the CareerLab, collaborating with Laker Athletics, and researching grant funding opportunities.
