Winter 2025 Employer Recruitment Events & Activities
Grand Valley State University's Career Center hosts a variety of career events throughout the year with the goal of bringing together employers and candidates. Alumni, graduate, and undergraduate students are invited to these events to assist in their search for full and part-time jobs, as well as experiential learning opportunities.
Employers know that effective recruiting is a year-round process. Successful organizations are the ones that are regularly on-campus, make a long-term commitment, and take the time to understand where their engagement can be most impactful.

Employer Tabling on Campus
Tabling in a high-traffic location at either Allendale or the Pew campus (downtown Grand Rapids) is another great way to raise brand awareness and reach students. Reservations must be made at least five business days (10 days recommended) before you plan to be on campus, and no more than 30 days in advance.
On Campus Interviews
Interviews may be conducted on-campus or virtually for the 2023-24 academic year. We encourage you to use Handshake and its scheduling capabilities for either option. Be sure to book your dates early, as this service is very popular. Once your request has been made, we will work to ensure your request is fulfilled and contact you with any additional information.

Internship Training Workshops
A well-run internship program can do wonderful things for your organization! Whether you need a succession plan, innovative ideas and thinking, or are looking to help groom the next generation of talent, an internship program could be just what you need. West Michigan colleges and universities have teamed up to provide you with free training opportunities to help your program succeed.
Host & Promote Your Own Events
At GVSU, we are always willing to work with our employer partners to think outside of the box. Because of our distributed campuses and increasing demands on learner time, we have found that traditional information sessions do not always attract attention. However, we are happy to work with you to develop and promote your own event.
