Connect
The top three skills employers seek in new hires include problem solving, teamwork, and communication— these also happen to be the skills that students develop through undergraduate research.

On April 8th, 2026, GVSU proudly hosted the 30th Annual Student Scholars Day. This longstanding event showcases the innovative and creative research of undergraduate students while offering those students a valuable opportunity to connect with employers. The projects presented often reflect real-world challenges, so students can bring what they learned into their future careers.

This year, more than 560 students participated, delivering over 350 presentations spanning research, analysis, and creative work across a wide range of disciplines.
