How To Research an Organization Before an Interview

  1. Start by visiting the organization's website. What is their mission statement and history, what are their products and services, who's in their leadership?
  2. Look up the organization on Handshake to read any reviews and see feedback on interviews from fellow students.
  3. Browse the organization's social media channels to understand how they want to be seen by the public.
  4. Use LinkedIn company profiles. You'll be able to see your connections at the company, new hires, promotions, jobs posted, related companies, and company statistics.
  5. Expand your research to news and recent events. Google News is your friend here.
