Presentation Request Form - Student - W26
Thank you for your interest in a Career Center presentation! Please read the following policies before submitting your presentation request:
- Requests for presentations must include:
- At least 2 weeks’ notice prior to the requested date AND an alternative presentation date
- On-campus location OR GVSU-affiliated Zoom link
- Requests for presentations with the Career Center will
not
be fulfilled if any of the following apply:
- Request is made within 2 weeks of the proposed date
- Request time is at or later than 8PM
- Request time is on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
- Request fails to list an on-campus location or GVSU-affiliated Zoom link
- Request does not align with provided presentation topics (e.g., workshop vs. presentation).
Once a presentation request has been approved, your organization or department is responsible for advertising and promoting the event to ensure adequate attendance (either 10+ attendees or 75% of intended headcount for RSVPs less than 12). A registration link via Handshake or LakerLink/Suitable will be provided to the requesting person/s or organization/s upon presentation approval. The Career Center reserves the right to cancel presentations that do not meet adequate RSVPs within 24 hours of the requested presentation time.
Presentations range from 30 minutes to 1 hour in length and are delivered by a skilled presenter knowledgeable in the subject requested. Please expect that the presenter will be actively engaged with the audience for the duration of the presentation.
The submission deadline for Winter 2026 semester presentations is April 10. We do our best to honor every request; however, during unusually busy times of the year (e.g. before Career Fairs) we cannot guarantee that someone will be available on the day and time you’ve requested. In the event that someone is not available for your preferred day and time or alternative day and time, we can offer an interactive, pre-recorded video related to your selected topic. In addition, the Career Center offers a complete schedule of events, covering a wide array of topics and allowing for networking with key employers. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
