Red Zone
What is the Red Zone?
We're not referring to something in football. The Red Zone on college campuses is the period of time for students that spans from welcome weekend through Thanksgiving break. This period is the time when more than 50% of all college sexual assaults are statistically found. In fact, it's the period of time with the highest risk of any violence of any kind occurs on campus. GVSU will be focusing on combating Hazing and spreading awareness about Violence Prevention during this time.
Red Zone Programming
In order to combat this phenomenon, Grand Valley is providing specific programming and events to create awareness of risks as well as how these situations can be prevented. On this website you can find Red Zone related events and resources occurring on campus.
