Grand Rapids, Michigan’s second largest city, is a dynamic region. West Michigan is home to over 15 multinational companies and a strong economy. West Michigan also features many cultural events such as ArtPrize, LaughFest, and destinations such as the award-winning Frederik Meijer Gardens. Even better, the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan is just 25 minutes west of our Allendale Campus.
The Barbara and Stuart Padnos International Center (PIC) provides support to international students. Many international students come to see the PIC as their home away from home. PIC also supports the GVSU International Students Club that hosts a variety of formal and informal cultural events throughout the year, such as Global Games and Sexy Accent Night, a cultural extravaganza that includes food, a fashion show, cultural quizzes, and a dance.
