Submit to the 2025 AWP Intro Awards
Submit your unpublished fiction (1 story), creative nonfiction (1 essay), and poetry (up to 3 poems) to this year’s AWP Intro Awards. The deadline is midnight on November 10 at midnight and the contest is open to all GVSU Writing majors and minors. Winners will move on to the national competition.
All entries must be submitted to [email protected]. Attach a Word Document or similar format (no pdfs). In the body of the email, include: Title, Author's Name, Permanent Address (or Campus Address), Phone Numberm and Email Address. The subject line should read "AWP Intro Award" followed by the genre you're entering.
All work should be unpublished. If accepted elsewhere, withdraw your entry as soon as possible. (This does not include fishladder or other local student publications.)
You may enter in multiple categories. If you do, send a separate email for each genre. (max 5000 words total per genre entry.)
