Associate Professor Jerry Stinnett

Jerry Stinnett has taught courses in first-year writing, style, public writing, technical writing, and teaching college writing. His research has typically examined how writers know when and how to adapt knowledge and practices of writing for different situations and attempts to develop teaching strategies to support that adaptation. His work has appeared in the journals College English, Literacy in Composition Studies, College Composition and Communication, and Composition Forum.

Jerry is the Director of First-Year Writing at GVSU.
