D.J. Angus

AWRI's second research vessel, the D.J. Angus, docks during a visit to Muskegon.

The D.J. Angus serves researchers and educational groups from her berth at Harbor Island in Grand Haven, Michigan. The vessel was built and endowed in 1985 and launched on June 13, 1986.

The D.J. Angus has served 27 Michigan counties from its home port at GVSU-AWRI's Lake Michigan Center at 740 W. Shoreline Drive, Muskegon, Michigan. Sampling areas include the Grand River, Spring Lake, and Lake Michigan. The D.J. Angus has served groups from 28 counties in Michigan and beyond.
