Excellence in a Discipline - Business Economics
What is your favorite Seidman memory?
My favorite memory has been building relationships with my
professors and peers. I have made many connections with the other
students in my field as well as my professors and guest lecturers.
Our building namesake – Bill Seidman – exhibited many
desirable traits of a leader such as an innovator, integrity,
curiosity, and future-minded. How did your experience at Seidman
help you develop one or more of these traits?
My experience in my capstone classes has helped me learn how to
be a leader and think about the future. In the business capstone, we
ran a company as a group and this taught me how to be innovative and
take well thought out risks.
What would you like people in the community to know about
Seidman graduates like you?
Seidman develops well-rounded graduates who are hard working. Our
professors challenged us so that we could adapt to the changes in the
workforce fast. We are also taught how to work through problems and
how to work well as a team.
What is your career aspiration?
My future aspirations include getting my masters in Human
Resources and Labor Relations. After graduation, I will start my
career as an HR Assistant with Powervac of Michigan. Eventually, I
would like to specialize in compensation and benefits.
How did your time at Seidman College prepare you to contribute
to your community as a Laker for a Lifetime?
My time at Seidman prepared me for the business world, as well as
how to be a good member of the community. I hope to bring what I
learned in the classroom into any future positions I may have.
