Ford International is the second 'fastest-growing airport' in US

After the busiest July ever, Gerald R. Ford International Airport was named the “second fastest-growing airport” in the country.

The airport said yesterday it saw 291,304 passengers in July, a 16.7-percent increase from the previous year.

Airline Weekly recently forecast Ford airport as the nation's No. 2 fastest-growing airport, among the 100 busiest airports for the Q3 summer peak, according to Ford airport. The ranking is based on a projected 21-percent increase in year-over-year growth and based on data from Diio, an aviation data product.
