Careers in Finance Event Connects Students with Employers

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, over 20 employers connected with 137 finance majors at the in-person Careers in Finance Event, held at the L. William Seidman Center.
Students had the opportunity to meet alumni and professionals in the field, and get a taste of the different career areas of Finance as well as internship and study abroad opportunities.
This event serves as an incredible networking opportunity for both students AND employers. Matt Wezeman, VP, Commercial Credit Manager at Mercantile Bank, shared, "GVSU seems to continuously provide a high consistency of quality candidates, and I believe this is attributed to a variety of learning opportunities that students receive."
