Biography
After earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama - Birmingham in/2008, Tyler worked two busy seasons as a tax accountant and a decade as an analyst and manager in the healthcare sector. He recently completed his Ph.D. at Florida Atlantic University and has joined the School of Accounting as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. His teaching interests include managerial accounting and data analytics, and he has experience teaching financial accounting. Tyler draws on his professional background to connect accounting concepts to real-world applications and prepare students for a career in business. His current research focuses on neurodivergent individuals in the business workforce and he has a keen interest in how rapidly evolving technologies shape both the accounting profession and accounting education.
