Options that Include a Face-to-Face Component

3. Staggered Hybrid - Asynchronous - In this delivery method, the class is divided into groups and those groups rotate meeting face-to-face during regularly scheduled meeting times and completing on-line asynchronous work. So, only a portion of the students in the course will ever meet face to face at the same time. For this option, you will see all possible face-to face meeting dates in Banner and on your course schedule. The dates that your group meets face to face will be only a portion of the dates listed and will be communicated by your instructor.

4. HyFlex - Synchronous TBD -  In this delivery method, all students have the same set course meeting times, but some of the students meet face-to-face during regularly scheduled meeting times and the rest of the students join the course online synchronously (this could mean the same students are always online or the groups might rotate). Faculty members may informally arrange the “in-class” and “online” groups of students for each day, so long as the room capacity is never exceeded. For this option, you will see the dates of the set course meeting times in Banner and on your course schedule. Dates where you meet face to face will be communicated by your instructor.

5. Online - All Asynchronous – In this delivery method, there are no set course meeting times. Deadlines and assignments with due dates are set by the instructor, but students can complete the work in ways that fit their schedules. No meeting days or times will be listed in Banner or on your course schedule.

7. Online (All Synchronous) – In this delivery method, all course meetings occur during set times when students and instructor are expected to meet online together. This is quite similar to a face-to-face class except students and instructor will interact remotely instead of in person. You will see the set course meeting times listed in Banner and on your course schedule.
