Outdoor Adventures invites you on an 8-day Spring Break adventure you'll never forget!
GVSU Outdoor Adventures invites you to experience the wonders of naturally created sandstone arches in Moab, Utah. Each day will bring a new adventure, exploring one of the most scenic natural areas the west has to offer. While this trip will be awe-inspiring, you should be aware it is expected to be moderately demanding. Daily mileage is expected to average around 7-10 miles. Past students agree that arriving physically fit and mentally prepared to take on the challenges will enhance your overall experience.
Outdoor Adventures trips place an emphasis on exploration, the shared group experience, community building and sense of belonging. Many of us may start the trip as strangers but our hope is to adjourn having made great memories and a couple new friends that we're eager to have more adventures with.
Experience tent camping is strongly recommended as it will be our lodging for most nights. Driving across the country to immediately find out you hate everything about camping will not only ruin your trip, it will negatively impact everyone else's too.
Trip Dates: Saturday, March 7 - Saturday, March 14, 2026
Cost: $425
Save your spot by registering with a non-refundable $100 deposit
by using the Coupon Code "DEPOSIT" at checkout. The
remainder will be due by the pre-trip meeting.
Includes: transportation, lodging, breakfast and dinners while in Moab, group items such as tents/ cookware, and personal camping gear provided as requested (e.g. sleeping bag). A full packing list will be provided in the confirmation email upon registering for the trip.

Refunds/ Cancellations/ Contingency Plans
OA reserves the right to modify trip plans (e.g. destinations & activities), end early, or cancel the trip outright when it is deemed by the staff to be unsafe to proceed as planned or doing so would put undue burden on the department, trip leaders or participants. Situations may include but are not limited: to severe weather, area/ road closures, equipment issues, and participant care. OA makes an effort to keep modifications as close as possible to the spirit of the original plan. Modified trip plans do not require participant agreement.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to register. Full refunds will only be available if GVSU cancels the trip prior to departure. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis if a participant needs to drop from the trip prior to departure or there are significant changes to the trip after departure that result in a cancelled trip or early return.
