  • Grand Ledge - Located at Oak Park in Grand Ledge, this 30' Sandstone cliff line along the Grand River is the only location in lower Michigan with outdoor climbing. This site is top-rope only.

GVSU's student rock climbing club.

Professional Climbing Instructors Association (PCIA)

Non-profit climbing organization for professional climbing education. GVSU utilizes this curriculum for it's Climbing Wall Instructor certification courses.

Climbing Wall Association (CWA)

A trade association dedicated to protecting, connecting, and educating the indoor climbing industry.

American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) 

A non-profit dedicated to supporting the American mountain guiding community. The sole US representative to the 21 member International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations.

Professional Climbing Guides Institute (PCGI)

A non-profit that develops and governs nationally recognized training, assessment and certification programs for rock climbing instruction and guiding.

USA Climbing

This non-profit is the national governing body of the sport of competition climbing in the United States. USA Climbing is sanctioned and recognized by the International Olympic Committee as well as the International Federation of Sport Climbing.

Access FundThe Access Fund is a non-profit rock climbing advocacy group in the US with 2 primary focuses. First, keeping climbing areas open and gaining access to currently closed climbing areas. Second, promoting an ethic of responsible climbing and conservation of the climbing environment.

American Alpine Club

This non-profit shares and supports a passion for climbing and respect for the places we climb. There's even a local West Michigan chapter!
