"We had a great time holding an event at Grand Valley’s Eberhard Center. I took over the event planning after the room had been booked and was the lead from that point on.
It was very nice working with our event coordinator. She provided great instructions, made recommendations and caught me when I forgot something. We were allowed us to add attendees almost last minute and was able to accommodate the extra people on both space and food with limited warning. As soon as I walked in the building I was greeted by several employees and there were very visible signage directing our party to the meeting location.
We had our event in the Foundation Room of the Eberhard Center, which has an incredible view of downtown Grand Rapids. It is right above the Grand River and gives visibility to the city’s recognizable buildings and landmarks through floor to ceiling windows, which was perfect for our out of state guests. There was an extensive lunch menu to choose from and they offered alternatives to any allergy our party might have had. The catering staff was quick, quiet, and very friendly. The whole Eberhard Center was very presentable and there was never a distraction from what we were there to do. This location made for a very productive meeting space.
I am very happy with the experience of planning and hosting an event there and this venue is on the top of my list for hosting in the future."

"I wanted to share an outstanding example of customer service with you. I was put in charge of organizing an event for the WMPPA on October 19th. The mayor of Grand Rapids and the president of the Michigan Minority Business Council spoke at the event. The event was a tremendous success due to the efforts of Amy Dettwiler. Amy helped me put everything together; booking the facility, arranging the catering, preparing the signage, setting up the audio visual equipment, and helping many of the guests the day of the event. As always, there were last minute changes and Amy handled these like a consummate professional.
