In the summer of 2025, the College of Education and Community Innovation was awarded $2.25 million by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation to build upon its partnership with Battle Creek Public Schools.  Over the next three years, our team will collaborate with the district on:

• Opportunities for BCPS Early Career Teachers
  • One-on-One Mentoring
  • Graduate Courses
  • Professional Learning Communities
• Intrusive advising for Battle Creek Central High School graduates attending GVSU

This new grant fortifies a partnership that has been growing for years, building on $16.75 million in grant support from WKKF dating back to 2019.
