Welcome to the 2025-2026 Academic Year, Lakers!
Summer may be over, but some of the best days of the year are just around the corner!
We have so much in store for you this fall. Our goal is to deliver engaging programs, valuable resources, and endless opportunities to connect, creating a vibrant campus for every Laker.
I invite you to visit LakerLink — your way to connect to student organizations and learn about upcoming events. If you haven’t yet, download the Suitable (LakerLink) app so that you don’t miss out on the various events and programs that will take place throughout campus this year.
This weekend, the fall semester begins with Laker Kickoff, designed to start the year with energy, connection, and opportunity! You also won’t want to miss Campus Life Night where you can meet and explore the more than 400 Registered Student Organizations that can help you find your people and build community on campus!
Being a Laker brings new opportunities and also new responsibilities. The Student Code: The Anchor exists to create an environment and campus community grounded in integrity, community, belonging, respect, and responsibility. Be curious and challenged by listening to others and seeking to learn about viewpoints different from your own – our university is a marketplace of ideas. Ask questions. Be respectful, even if (especially if) you disagree. Learn more about expressive activity. as well as our Grounds and Facility Use Policy. I also encourage you all to take care of yourselves and one another as we start the new school year. If you are concerned about a fellow student’s well-being, please submit a CARE referral.
On behalf of everyone in the Division of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students Office, we are so excited you are here and look forward to the upcoming academic year. I wish you a fall semester filled with fun, new positive memories, and belonging.
Anchor up!
