1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After receiving my bachelor's degree in
political science in 2021, I immediately started graduate school to
pursue my MPA. While attending graduate school, I began a
full-time career at Grand Action 2.0 as one of two
staff members working on two transformational economic development
projects in downtown Grand Rapids: the Acrisure Amphitheater and the
Amway Stadium. This past weekend, I officially celebrated the
completion of my first project with Grand Action 2.0, the Acrisure
Amphitheater. I am continuing my work as the Amway Stadium is
scheduled to be completed in March 2027.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
My favorite memory as a Laker was transferring to GVSU my
sophomore year. I immediately found community through student
organizations and from the moment I stepped on campus, I knew I’d be a
Laker for a Lifetime.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Have faith, work hard, stay humble.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Transformative, collaborative, impactful.
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I went into nonprofit leadership because I knew that real change
begins in our own community. I want to help create communities where
constituents feel connected, inspired, and proud of where they live.
