Pew Faculty Teaching and Learning Center
The Teaching Innovation Grant funds non-GVSU personnel and student staff for projects, materials, and fees for training programs (but not conferences).
The Faculty Conference Grant funds two (one at $250 and one at $700) in-person or virtual teaching-related conferences, workshops or training, with or without presenting.
Padnos International Center
The Faculty/Staff Exchange Grant funds short term exchanges and exchange development activities up to $3500, including virtual exchange, “creation or revision of a study abroad curriculum integration plan”, and “research projects that involve students in research abroad”.
The Partnership Development Grant funds the creation of new partnerships, including virtual exchange partnerships, as well as the “revision of a study abroad curriculum integration plan”, with “priority […] given to applications that will directly benefit students through the creation of new opportunities”.
The Partnership Sustenance Grant funds the ongoing support of “institutional-level international exchange programs”, up to $3000.
Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS)
Academic and Professional Enrichment Fund
The Academic and Professional Enrichment Fund funds a faculty member to take up to four students to an academic conference, up to $2000 ($500 per student).
Undergraduate Research Assistant Program
The Undergraduate Research Assistant Program provides funding for a tenured or tenure-track faculty member to hire a research assistant for 8 to 10 hours per week, for one to two semesters.
The Student Summer Scholars program funds partnerships between faculty and students for research to be conducted in the summer, including a $1,500 faculty stipend which can be transferred to project supplies.
Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence
These funds range from $500 to $10,000; the Collaborative Research and Creative Activity Initiative includes funding of up to $5,000 for a PI salary.
Conference and Publication Funds
These funds range from $600 to $2,000, and include support for open access publishing.
These funds range from $2,000 to $20,000, and include funds to aid in strengthening external proposals, cost-matching for external proposals, and funds to commercialize innovative products.
