2022-2023 Communities of Practice (CoP) Meeting Dates
Educational Supports and Strategies (ESS) Community of
Practice (CoP)
Purpose: The primary focus for members is to
collaborate on supports and strategies that ensure access to
grade-level curriculum for students with ASD and optimize independent
skills that support engagement and meaningful interdependence of all
students within the classroom setting.
The ESS CoP will have meetings on the following dates in 2022-2023:
November 17, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Virtual
February 15, 2023, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Virtual
Purpose: Members from across the state will work
together to make connections, collaborate, increase implementation and
fidelity, and support data collection.
The P2P CoP will have meetings on the following dates in 2022-2023:
October 25, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., In-person,
Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, 219 S Harrison Rd, East
Lansing, MI 48824
Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-based Treatment
(PFA-SBT) Community of Practice (CoP)
Purpose: PFA/SBT implementation leaders from across
the state meet to network, share experiences, problem solve, and share
resources to build capacity to support students with significant
challenging behaviors.
The PFA-SBT CoP will have meetings on the following dates in 2022-2023:
September 19, 2022, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Virtual
Purpose: Members across the state will collaborate
and stay updated on relevant secondary transition resources and key
components for the implementation of evidence-based transition
practices. The key components include:
Agency Coordination and Collaboration
Education: Transition services and the IEP
Employment
Empowering Students
Independent Living
The Secondary TransitionCoP will have meetings on
the following dates in 2022-2023:
October 19, 2022, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Virtual
December 14, 2022, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Virtual
Members: Each RCN is encouraged to have representation.
Note: Registration information for the first meeting
of the year will be emailed to RCN leadership and those that attended
the full Secondary Transition pilot last year (even if not affiliated
with the RCN).
