1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Immediately after graduating from GVSU I moved back in with my
parents and attended law school full time at Wayne State University
Law School. I earned my law degree in 2024 and began working in
private practice. I’ve since joined the firms Business Practice Group
and specialize in M&A and Impact Investing.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
My favorite memory from GVSU has to be giving tours for the
Admissions office. I loved getting to meet potential students and
parents and share my love for the University. I made great friends
with my fellow tour guides and I’m so thankful for that experience.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
The best piece of advice I ever received was to seek out advice
wherever you can get it, but only take what feels right for your
journey and get rid of the rest. I am where I am because of the
guidance and support of so many people who came before me, but I also
got a lot of advice that just wasn’t right for my path - and I had to
practice letting that stuff go and doing what’s best for me (even if
that sometimes means making mistakes).
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
Enlightening, adventurous and fun.
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
It can feel overwhelming to try to make a difference in a world
that’s so huge with so many problems. I hope to be the kind of leader
that makes small differences in everything I do - that when given any
choice, I select the path that improves the environment, my community,
the project I’m engaged in or the lives of those around me. Every
small action makes a difference!
