1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
Two weeks after graduation, I started my career as a staff
auditor for Michigan's Auditor General. During that time, I worked on
a variety of performance, financial, and information technology
audits. Four years into my career, I decided to attend graduate school
and obtained my MBA in finance from Davenport. During that time, I
made a career switch into the investment industry as an Investment
Analyst for Michigan's Bureau of Investments, where I currently assist
in managing over $20 billion in invested capital.
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
My favorite memory at GVSU is being recognized by BSU as the
person who spent the most time in the library for two years.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Don't hesitate to connect with anyone, no matter their status,
position, or authority, as we all share the same humanity.
4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand
Valley experience.
1. Adventurous 2. Purposeful 3. Fellowship
5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I aim to reduce homelessness in the U.S., promote investment
careers among people of color, and supply essential medical resources
to developing nations.
