1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
After graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Master of Public Administration in April 2025, I began working as a Research Development Specialist at the University of Michigan–Dearborn. In this role, I support faculty in developing research proposals, coordinate collaborative research initiatives, and help organize programs that connect researchers across campuses. My time at Grand Valley prepared me to work at the intersection of public service, collaboration, and research development. Since graduating, I have focused on supporting initiatives that strengthen partnerships between universities and communities while helping faculty advance impactful research projects.

2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
One of my favorite memories was the moment when Grand Valley truly started to feel like home. Moving from India to the United States to pursue my graduate studies was a big transition, but the welcoming environment at Grand Valley made that journey much easier. The support from faculty, classmates, and the campus community helped me grow both personally and professionally. Those experiences made my time at Grand Valley very meaningful and helped shape the path I am on today.

3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
The best advice I have received is to believe in your capabilities even when challenges arise. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with strong women leaders who supported and encouraged me during difficult moments. They reminded me that I was capable of more than I sometimes believed. Their mentorship taught me the importance of confidence, resilience, and supporting others along the way.

4. List three words you would use to describe your Grand Valley experience.
Transformative Supportive Empowering

5. What difference would you like to make in the world?
I want to make a difference by supporting communities and empowering women through collaboration, mentorship, and advocacy. Throughout my journey, I have been inspired by strong women mentors who encouraged me, supported my growth, and helped me navigate challenges. I hope to carry that forward by building partnerships between institutions and communities, supporting women in their professional journeys, and being a voice for those who may not always have the opportunity to be heard. My goal is to contribute to work that strengthens communities, uplifts women, and creates opportunities for future generations.
