1. Tell us about your journey since graduation.
This is my second response because I wanted to tell you this
story. I’ve lived in California now since 1970 and I’ve NEVER run into
a fellow grad from Grand Valley until one year ago. I’m Anne McAuley
Logan, graduated with a BA in 1969. This gentleman is Randy Baumgarten
(if I remember his name correctly!), who graduated from GV in 1968!
2. Share a favorite Grand Valley memory.
In 55 years since I graduated I have NEVER run into a fellow
grad, probably because I live in California and have rarely been back
to Michigan. We were on a cruise from Chile to Antarctica and Ushuaia
is a small Argentine city southernmost on the continent. We were both
on a tourist bus to the very end of the Pan-American Highway and
someone started talking about college and where they graduated. I
couldn’t believe my ears when Randy said Grand Valley and 1968, just
one year before me in 1969.
3. What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
THIS IS MY SECOND SUBMISSION because I ran into a fellow grad,
Randy Baumgartner or Baumgarten (?) graduated in 1968!!! The picture
above is of us both in the southern tip of South America.
